Production Manager

  • Responsible for supervising assembly operations such as filing, aligning, fitting, and scraping of parts to ensure established requirements and standards are met.
  • Analyze production, quality control, maintenance and other operational reports.
  • Oversee personnel in charge of operating machines that perform a variety of processing operations.
  • Develop and implement procedures and practices to insure the highest level of quality work is obtained.
  • Plan, assign and train employees in their daily tasks.
  • Responsible for the training and development of all production and machine shop personnel.
  • Develop assembly and test procedures in coordination with engineering.
  • Delegate assignments to maximize production objectives.
  • Foster an environment of continual process improvement to achieve the highest quality standards.
  • Review engineering drawings for operations department with emphasis on product durability and manufacturability.
  • Liaison between manufacturing and engineering in resolving documentation discrepancies.
  • Responsible for the performance management and professionalism of the production staff.
  • Identify complex problems and review relevant information to evaluate options and develop solutions.
  • Central point of contact for all production issues, inquiries and RMA's.
  • Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate course of action.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Requires a four year degree in a related field and 2-4 years of supervisory experience or 8 years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experienced in ISO9001 and safety procedures.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office.

  • Able to bend, sit, stand for long periods of time, lift, use fingers and hands and move around the equipment and production floor.
  • Must be able to operate machine shop and production equipment.

Things you must have to even be considered

  • RMA experience.
  • Worked with ocean equipment.
  • 3-5 years experience.
  • Mid size company. Must wear all hats.
  • Experienced in ISO9001 and safety procedures.
